Haryana: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that despite there being no case of Covid-19 in the state at present, RT-PCR tests will be conducted for influenza-like diseases and serious respiratory infections. According to a statement, Vij said this in a meeting held through video conferencing under the chairmanship of Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in view of the increase in cases of Covid-19 across the country and the new JN.1 form of the virus.
Anil Vij stressed the need for mandatory RT-PCR testing for diseases like influenza and serious respiratory infection cases. He informed in the meeting that a mock drill has been organized in Haryana and all necessary preparations have been completed. Anil Vij said that there are 238 oxygen producing plants in Haryana and even before this the state has faced the epidemic with full determination.
Union Health Minister holds review meeting with states
Whereas Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, while presiding over a high-level review meeting with the states, said that Covid is not over yet. He also requested the states to keep an eye on new cases of Covid-19, symptoms and their severity so that appropriate public health measures can be planned.
Administration issued alert in Chandigarh
At the same time, an alert has been issued by the Chandigarh administration regarding the increase in cases of new variants of Corona in the country. People have been instructed to wear masks. Along with this, people have also been advised to avoid going to crowded areas. Along with this, people have been advised to get Covid test done if they see symptoms of Corona and keep themselves isolated for seven days.
